My family and I love spending time on the beautiful beaches of the Outer Banks in North Carolina. My favorite thing to do at the beach is walk and look for shells. I could walk for hours. One time while walking, I was looking at all the broken pieces of shells that people just step over and leave on the beach because they aren’t pretty enough to take. I started thinking about those “bits and pieces” and looking at them not for what they are, but what they could be. Perhaps a busted oyster shell could be incorporated into a painting and become the inside of a wave or the beautiful pieces of sea glass that my mother collects could be added to works of art. Bits & Pieces was initially thought of as a name for my art studio, but it has grown into so much more. Now the “bits and pieces” of vinyl and design come together to make beautiful creations for our customers.
